Abstract

The study involved 187 patients (men) aged from 60-89 years. The analysis of BMI revealed that representatives of the Russian ethnos had a significant reduction in BMI (p <0.001) in relation to patients of the Uzbek nationality of the older age group, who have only a tendency to decrease in BMI (p> 0.05). The content of "atherogenic" lipoproteins of blood (cholesterol, cholesterol LDL) prevails among people of indigenous ethnicity, compared with Russians, and patients of old age have a more favorable level of lipid profile of blood than the elderly.
