Abstract:
The article deals with the issues related to the emergence of new words in the
Russian language under the influence of the Internet as a means of virtual
communication, talks about the emergence of a new subsection of the language,
Internet linguistics, whose task is to study the impact of the Internet on the
development of the language.
Key words: computer vocabulary, social activity, virtual environment, computer
terms, computer slang.
The Internet performs several functions in the life of a modern person: the
Internet acts as a source of information, a way of spending leisure time, as well as
a means of communication that creates new, diverse forms of communication. The
Internet is a place where various ways of development of the Russian language are
developed. The Internet environment is a kind of cognitive background and a tool
for creating new forms of communication and a platform for information exchange
throughout the territory of Uzbekistan. Currently, computer vocabulary is
expanding in two ways: expanding the use of commonly used words, their
informatization and computerization, as well as using computer and Internet terms
in the natural language, filled with new semantics and connotations. As V.M.
Leichik notes, there are two points of view on the problem of changing the Russian
language under the influence of new forms of communication. Some foreign
experts suggest the formation of a new so-called cybernetic language, which is the
result of the integration of the "common" language and the language of computer
technology V.M. Leichik speaks about the specific functioning of the language on
the Internet with the use of separate, numerous words, morphine abbreviations,

unusual graphics, in addition to specially created words, such as "smileys" and
chaotically combined punctuation marks.
In the Russian language, according to researchers, the second point of view
is considered to be more reasonable. The professional language of the computer
technology sphere influences the emergence of neologisms, but to a greater extent
the Internet develops through the fact that forms of social activity are transferred to
the virtual environment. Vocabulary is the most influenced by the Internet. We see
the emergence of new words, new meanings, and changes in the frequency of
compatibility and associative relations. For example, the word "avatar" used to
have a very narrow meaning, referring to the philosophy of Hinduism. Now we are
seeing the emergence of a new meaning for it: "the image of a person representing
him on the Internet"; the words "profile", "comment", "diary", etc. have also been
reconsidered. Scientists note that vocabulary is being "interned", just as
"militarized" was observed during the war. It is thanks to this phenomenon that
such idioms as "the front of the works" or "to lie on the embrasure" appeared in the
Russian language. They pass the test of time and become part of the language
tradition. Foreign and domestic authors of the dictionary of computer slang note
that the Internet slang has long been used in everyday life. An example of the
penetration of Internet lexicon into the natural language can be a dialogue between
the characters of the popular series "Interns" on the TV channel TNT:
- Do you think they are serious there?
- No, I don't clog my own boxes with spam!
Spam is the distribution of commercial advertisements and commercial types
of messages to recipients who do not express their interest directly. The term
"spam" in Russian is commonly used for the first time in relation to the distribution
of emails. In the dialogue, the characters of the series, by "box", mean "head",
"consciousness", the word "spam" in this context means "unnecessary
information", "trash", etc. Such an explanation of the meaning of the word has
nothing to do with sending advertising by e-mail. This statement is a metaphor
from the language of communication and shows the changes in the consciousness
of "advanced" speakers of the Russian language, which is reflected in the speech.
Such examples allow us to talk about the restructuring of cognitive models of

modern man. Nowadays, native speakers of the Russian language quite often and
widely use such computer terms as "program", "format", "reboot", "upgrade".
Academic dictionaries, including "Dictionary of Foreign Words" edited by L.P.
Krysin and "Explanatory Dictionary" edited by S.I. Ozhegov, offer a "special" note
for these words. Metaphoricality of word combinations - to program or format
relationships, health, to make upgrades or reboots of personality, appearance - is
obvious that has nothing to do with the direct meaning of the words under
consideration.
When creating computer terms, translation is used or unmotivated
neologisms (neomotives) appear: "Reader” - reader, archiver - unpacked, brand -
friend, regular reader. Many of these terms are Anglicisms, which came to the
Russian language in the nineties of the last century, and are often written in
English - such words in linguistics are called barbarians. But gradually they were
"mastered" by the Russian language, which included in everyday speech such
words as Winchester, pixels, display, photocopier, as well as abbreviations (Clave -
from the keyboard, computer - from the computer), and led to their assimilation:
upgrade - from upgrade, click - from click.
As new forms of communication emerge, the structure of the language and
the active vocabulary change. For a quick message exchange, it is necessary to use
the relevant vocabulary. Images begin to play an important role in the exchange of
information messages, which allows you to put more meaning into a shorter
information message.
Professor of Linguistics D. Crystal has highlighted a subsection of
linguistics, whose task is to study the changes in language that occur in connection
with the active development of the Internet. The Internet is beginning to be used
more and more people, which leads to the creation of new Internet technologies
and as a result, there are new and varied ways of online communication. It is
difficult to quantify how the Internet has changed the communication environment.
Previous generations have not had the opportunity to quickly exchange messages
in the format of chats, Skype, e-mail, which has led to the creation of new forms of
written and oral language. Linguists express concern. But even in the XV century,
researchers were worried when printing appeared, and in the XIX - the phone, in
