Abstract

In distance education ICT plays a pivotal role in enabling the learners to achieve their dreams for higher education at their doorsteps by making teaching and learning most interesting. Especially in the field of ICT, Mobile learning has a great potentiality for the disadvantaged sections of learners living in the interior inaccessible pockets and having little or no access to the internet facility. We may also include housewives, school dropouts, people from minorities and backward communities in the group of the disadvantaged. Mobile Learning is a blessing for the disadvantaged as it helps them to enjoy teaching and learning and get the maximum benefit out of this.
