Abstract
This paper aims to analyse the concept of rationalism in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The theme of rationalism dominates the whole play from the beginning to the end. Shakespeare observed man and manners in close quarters and gave his audience his own kind of drama breaking away from the three unities of the drama-the unity of time, place and action.
