Abstract
India writing in English was enriched from the pre independence period; authors of different forms produced an ample literature in order to development of Indian literature. Indian English literature gained its popularity across the globe. Indian was under the British rule and the authors did not get the chance to raise their voice but after post-independence period authors paved a new way and depicted the social cause of the society. In the contemporary era, the writers’ authors paved a new way and depicted the social cause of the society. In the contemporary era, the writers frankly depicted the sides of the society.
