Abstract

Social justice is a goal which is aspired by almost all social philosophers, policy makers and civil society. Development and democracy are both the means and ends to achieve this desired objective worldwide. There are myriad paradigms of development and democracy. For instance, there is growth-based development, need based development and human centric development, famously known as ‘Human Development’. Similarly, there are uncountable varieties of democracy like authoritarian democracy, representative democracy, participatory democracy etc. However, in contemporary world democracy in every form is considered the most preferred form of governance.
