Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of work environment perception and type of neuroticism personality on employee work stress at PT PLN (Persero) in North Sumatra, especially in Niasregency. The research data was obtained through the scale of perception of the work environment, the scale of the personality type of neuroticism and the work stress scale. The research subjects were PLN employees in North Sumatra who worked in Nias regency. The number of subjects is 75 people (N = 75) which consists of starting from staff positions to the manager. The collected data is then processed with ANOVA multiple regression analysis. Based on the major hypothesis concluded that 68% of the work stress variance experienced by employees of PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra region for Nias area was influenced by the perception of the work environment and the type of neuroticism personality.
