Abstract
Present paper analysis the health status of women using secondary data from National Family Health Surveys and Family Welfare Statistics. Study found significant gender differences in various indicators of health. International comparison of the data reveals precarious situation for Indian women vis-à-vis their counterparts in developed as well as developing countries.
