Abstract

Treatment of children with a cleft of the upper lip and palate is complex and gradual, which is carried out by qualified narrow specialists. The organization and implementation of this complex are possible only in the conditions of a specialized center. The main coordinator of this work is the maxillofacial surgeon. Complex rehabilitation of children with this pathology includes preoperative orthodontic training, surgical treatment, orthodontic and logopedic treatment in the postoperative period. Subsequent conservative treatment prevents the development of secondary deformities of the nose and upper lip.
