Abstract
Poverty is the biggest hurdle in the development of any Nation. India has huge issues of poverty, and it is one of the emerging economies in the world. There are around 872.3 million people, who are living under extreme poverty in the world, and India holds rank third in this strata. For alleviation of poverty, Government has implemented various schemes like IRDP (1978), RLEGP (1983), SJSR (1997), MNREGA (2006), and so on. After successfully implementing these programs, people are coming out with extraordinary destitution. One of the fundamental purposes behind the record decrease in poverty in India's fast monetary development since 1991. Another reason is proposed welfare projects, for example, MNREGA and Mid-Day Meal.
