Abstract
The present India is the largest (3rd place) producer and processor of cashew in the world. The export value of cashew nut in during the year (2015-16), 96346 million tone. Cuddalore district is one of the large cashew nut industries located areas. The cashew industries create livelihood for about 1.25 lakhs of employees and farmers. The Cuddalore district alone there our 40,000 employees directly involved in the industry. Most of the industry maximum workers are females. It is a fact that any amount received by a women worker will be utilized directly for the benefits of the family and hence the link relating to family welfare is quite clear. Cashew nut processing industries one of the promising sector producing valuable commodity exported to Gulf, European and Western countries. This paper deals with labours problems in cashew nut industries in Cuddalore district.
