Abstract
The load deviation on a power system outcomes in frequency go with the flow from its supposed value. It is obligatory to decrease the frequency variations for providing consistent and good class electrical power. Power in real time can be obtained by maintaining equilibrium among demand and supply, called Automatic generation control (AGC).The key intention of automatic generation control are (a) Constant frequency should be at 50 Hz (b) the power has to be with in particular restrictions (c) generators with economic function. For generation control to be most efficient above parameters should be maintained with in preferred limits. During preceding four decades the work which has been done on automatic load frequency control has been discussed in this literature review.
