Abstract
Previous studies showed patients with mild hypothyroidism, mainly elderly women, are at a higher risk of cardiovascular diseases because of lipid abnormalities. The present study conducted to find prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism in apparently healthy patients and to determine whether hypercholesterolemia is more common inpatients with subclinical hypothyroidismthan in euthyroid.
