Abstract
Existentialism is a philosophical and literary movement of twentieth century which owes its origin to the writings of Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus. Albert Camus (1913-1960), a French philosopher and novelist though refuted the charge of being labeled as an existentialist gave a vehement expression to existentialist thoughts and ideas in his works. Arun Joshi (1939-1993) an Indian Novelist who came on literary scene after Camus shows profound influence of Camus in his literary works.
