Abstract
This paper attempts to study the spatial dimensions in the poems of Indian diasporic writer late Agha Shahid Ali who emigrated from Kashmir to America. Agha Shahid Ali narrates the experience of ‘transcendental homelessness’ exhibiting the original exilic resonance of the experience of diaspora. Analysing his poems from a spatial perspective, this paper traces out the mapping of space and place as visible in the writings of Agha Shahid Ali’s poems with reference to the diasporic experiences.
