Abstract
Tourism is one of the largest industries in the world. Due to industrial revolution greater disposable income and addition to the mode and purpose of travel, tourism has grown to be a major dynamic component of the world economy and one of the world economy and one of the highly developed and dynamic industries with a major contribution to income and employment. While countries are benefited due to this growth of tourism industry, on the other side, it destroys the beautiful nature and the environment which are considered as important attractions for the tourists. Ecotourism has emerged as an alternative foam of sustainable tourism Tamil Nadu is one of highly potential state for promoting Ecotourism, but Ecotourism in the state is in its infant stage.
