From the early years of liberalization, export growthreportedin Bangladesh official trade statistics is continuously under-reported which is reflected in partner country’s (USA) trade statistics. For simplification we can say that, this iskind of plummet export growth for Bangladesh. The period of the study is 1973-2018, using USA import statistics from Bangladesh. The impact of currency devaluation in 1976, 1982, 1991, 2001, 2006 and 2012 in Bangladesh was not actually observed on officially reported exports to USA that means official report of exports were not increased to the expected level and continuous devaluation could not remove under-reporting also.
