Abstract
In this study, an attempt has been made to study the imperative significance of Indian Diaspora to India’s economic resurgence and poverty alleviation. The study will likewise provide a broad outlook on, Diaspora as an option to India’s soft power and an opportunity through which India can expand its markets, expertise and can even extend its geo-political and geo- strategic relations with the GCC countries in the larger geo- political contexts. The study will additionally emphasize problems, challenges and future prospects of Indian Diaspora in the Gulf region predominately among the GCC countries.
