Abstract
With each passing day Internet and Web services are expanding and cloud computing is the primary transformation happening in the area of IT sector these days. It is considered as the sizzling topic due to the services offered like computation; application based hosting services, infrastructural services and cloud storage services. In present day cloud is transforming to a new level with the help of virtualization. Virtualization is considered as the core of cloud computing. In this paper we are focusing on elaborated review on different virtualization characteristics, technologies, challenges and concerns.
