Abstract

Virtual personal assistants (VPAs) today rely mainly on the voice commands for communicating with the devices (e.g., Amazon Alexa and Google Assistants).The increased usage of the VPA program, which permits a third party to promulgate a feature of the network and can thus be used to distribute the malicious skills to the general public when communicating with smart speakers like Google Home and Amazon Alexa, is the latest authentication challenge for the user from the VPA platform to the user.This makes the VPA systems more prone to vulnerabilities as there is no such strong encryption for it. This paper shows the review of various attacks performed on a VPA system to exploit its vulnerability and described the basic VPA structure.
