Abstract
Different approaches of administration of drugs have been used from time to time. Three most commonly used approaches are taking two or more drugs simultaneously, combination therapy with use of more than two drugs in a single tablet and development of hybrid molecules. Nowadays, concept of hybridisation with multiligand approach has gained popularity. The present review portrays the biological potential of hybrids especially as antitubercular and anticancer agents. A comparison of hybrid potency with their individual counterpart is discussed here for evaluating the effect of molecular hybridisation.
