Abstract
The concept of emotional intelligence has become an important factor for professional success in the contemporary times. This research analyses the level of emotional intelligence of Gen. X and Gen. Y professionals of Udaipur District and presents a comparative assessment of the same. It has covered the five major sub-factors of emotional intelligence viz. self awareness, self regulation, self motivation, self awareness and social skills. 120 respondents were selected through convenience sampling. Data was analyzed using SPSS statistical tool. Percentage, mean and Z test were applied for testing the hypotheses. The Paper ends with a proposed model of enhancing Emotional Quotient.
