Abstract

The task scheduling problem is heterogeneous distributed computing systems is a multi-objective optimization problem. The prime function is to reduce their total finish time by correctly assigning the tasks and correctly scheduling them on heterogeneous multiprocessor system. Due to limitation in uniprocessor system, Multiprocessors system is emerged as a powerful computing means for running real time application. Total runtime is time taken for all jobs with the individual runtime of tasks. An efficient flow shop scheduling that minimizes the entire make span time for achieving high performance. Several solutions and heuristics are proposed to solve this problem. In this paper, a genetic algorithm based method has been proposed to improve the performance.
