Abstract
The scattering processes of the astrophysical relevant collision of C with CH+is reviewed here. The scattering of C + CH+is an exothermic processes leading to the formation of another astrophysically important species C2+. The minimum energy path leading from reactant to product proceeds through a steep downhill path via a deep potential well of ~ 6.7 e V.
