Abstract

Colonel John Munro, the Resident-Devan in Travancore, was the pioneer who had brought forth renowned reforms intended to centralize the administration of Travancore wherein High caste Hindus had some overbearing manner towards Christians and low castes. On 23rd March 1810, Col. Munro was appointed as the Resident of the princely state Travancore and Cochin
