Abstract
In the modern world industry is a central point to the financial matter of the state. The impacts of industrial activity creates environmental problems such as air , water and land pollution. If the industrial growth and urbanisation increases the problems of environmental pollution also will be multiplied. Now a days newspaper reports says about the worst situation of environmental degradation in India and the courts have given directives for balancing of industrial growth and environmental pollution .The only solution to this problem is the doctrine of sustainable development that is there must be a balance between development and ecology.
