Abstract
The higher education sector in India is witnessing positive, purposeful and interesting changes. This article brings awareness about the various changes that have been witnessed in the higher education in the recent past. It is a touch down upon the public as well as private sector initiatives which are propelling a positive change in Indian higher education. This is expected to further boost the Indian economy in the years to come. In this article we shall see the impact of the private and deemed universities that have come up, the industry education partnership, foreign university collaboration and government initiatives to boost and regulate the sector.
