Out of the rich culture of India and brutal drama of the 1947 partition comes these lush and eloquent literary pieces. Both the novels, ‘What the Body Remembers’ and ‘Train to Pakistan’ are delineated on the same issues- partition, male dominated society, female as a means of reproduction, Pathetic condition of females, Political and social culture of the contemporary society, lyrical description of daily village life.
