Abstract
As Charles Dickens is a novelist of London, James Joyce is of Dublin, Thomas Hardy is of Wessex, R.K Narayan is a novelist of Malgudi in whose almost ten novels the central thematic design and comic vision is both defined and determined by the socio-cultural and anthro-spiritual milieu of the imaginary south Indian village town city of Malgudi.
