Abstract
This paper demonstrates the impact of macroeconomic variables on the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Hijrah Shariah Index. Exchange rate and money supply were the macroeconomic variables tested because there are certain gaps in the literature related to the relationship between macroeconomic variables and Shariah index which is gaining popularity among researchers due to its rapid growth in the Islamic market. Monthly data from 2008 to 2016 were collected from Datastream.
