Abstract
Proportional-plus-integral controller is designed here based on Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) for controlling the frequency deviation which is a major problem of a two area interconnected power system. In order to improvise the performance of supplying power of a power system, error function is minimized. The objective function taken into consideration over here is Integral Time multiplied with Absolute Error (ITAE).
