Abstract
Existing reinforced concrete columns may be structurally deficient for several reasons: substandard seismic design details, improper transverse reinforcement, flaws in structural design, and insufficient load carrying capacity. Over the last few years, there has been a worldwide increase in the use of composite materials for the rehabilitation of deficient reinforced concrete structures.
