Abstract
Over the past decades, the prevalence of dental anomalies and deformities has
increased dramatically, both among children and adults. Today, in 84% of
cases, orthodontic treatment is carried out using bracket systems. The
effectiveness of this technique makes orthodontists revise the usual age
indicators, tactics and methodology of treatment of various types of orthodontic
pathology. The presence of orthodontic equipment in the oral cavity can disrupt
the hygienic state, become a source of accumulation of dental deposits, and also
contribute to the development of inflammatory processes in the oral cavity. In
the process of orthodontic treatment in the oral cavity, the structure of the
microbiocenosis changes, which may contribute to an increased risk of
cryogenic and gingivopathogenic situations in the oral cavity. Everything
presented above determines the relevance and timeliness of this study.
