Abstract
Indian banking system is one of the largest systems in the world which provides financial services to the vast population of this country through its branches and networks. Primarily, the entire banking system is under the direct monitoring of the Reserve Bank of India and each and every operation of the banks has been continually scrutinized by the Reserve Bank of India for the smooth functioning of financial system in the country. In India, both private and public sector banks are playing key role for the development of economy of the country.
