Abstract

The Passion of New Eve by Angela Carter is a feminist novel that explores the themes of gender and identity through the story of a man who is transformed into a woman in a dystopian future. The novel critiques traditional notions of femininity and masculinity, and critiques the patriarchal society in which the protagonist finds. Through the journey of the protagonist, the novel asserts the importance of women's agency and empowerment and challenges the societal norms that restrict women's freedom and autonomy. The novel is considered a seminal work of feminist literature and is recognized for its imaginative, daring, and challenging vision of gender and identity.
