International Journal for Social Studies serves as a forum for Social Studies scholars from around the world to present and discuss common concerns. The journal’s mission is to heighten awareness of the international, global, and transnational nature of issues in social education. We aim to provide a forum for educators, college based teachers and researchers, teacher educators’ and classroom teachers, interested in rigorous research on their practice, from across the globe. The journal is particularly interested in issues that affect classroom teaching of Social Studies internationally.

International Journal for Social Studies is an open access journal for publication of research papers in the field of social sciences like sociology, political science, ethics, civics, international relations etc.


APC Fully Sponsored (No Article Processing Charges in 2026)

We are pleased to announce important updates regarding the publication model, editorial policies, and frequency of the International Journal for Social Studies (IJSS) for the year 2026.

1. APC Fully Sponsored (No Article Processing Charges in 2026)
All accepted articles submitted and published in the calendar year 2026 will be processed without any APC. The Article Processing Charges (APC) for 2026 are fully sponsored by Track2Training, enabling scholars from all regions to publish their work without financial barriers. This initiative aims to support open access knowledge dissemination and encourage high-quality submissions in the field of social studies.

2. Quarterly Publication Frequency
Beginning 2026 onwards, the journal will follow a quarterly publication schedule, releasing 4 regular issues per year. This frequency upgrade ensures timely processing, improved content flow, and increased visibility for published research.

3. CrossRef DOI for All Published Articles
To enhance global discoverability and citation indexing, every published article will be assigned a unique CrossRef DOI. This supports persistent access, scholarly referencing, and academic authentication of published works.

4. Paper Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts for peer review via email to:

Submissions are evaluated through a rigorous peer review process, and acceptance is based strictly on scholarly merit, originality, and contribution to the discipline.
