Abstract
International organizations (IOs) have become key players in the maintenance of global peace and security. By fostering dialogue, deploying peacekeeping missions, and aiding post-conflict reconstruction, IOs help manage and resolve international conflicts. This article explores the historical evolution of their roles, examines the contributions of the United Nations (UN), African Union (AU), and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and analyzes their effectiveness through case studies. It also discusses challenges such as political constraints, resource limitations, and emerging security threats. Recommendations focus on reforming IOs for greater efficiency and adaptability in a changing global landscape.
