Abstract
Effective communication in English is essential for academic success and career growth at all levels irrespective of age, class, or region. However, students in rural government schools, particularly in the six Zilla Parishad High Schools (ZPHS) of Jogulamba Gadwal District, face significant challenges in developing speaking proficiency due to limited exposure, inadequate resources, and traditional rote-based teaching methods. This study examines the impact of a blended learning approach—combining traditional classroom instruction with digital tools—on enhancing the speaking skills of secondary school ESL learners. Using a mixed-method research design, including surveys, pre-and post-assessments, and interviews, the study evaluates the effectiveness of these interventions. The findings indicate that technology-enhanced learning, integrated with communicative language teaching, leads to notable improvements in students' spoken English, boosting their confidence and employability. This research contributes to language education in rural settings and offers practical recommendations for sustainable language enhancement programs in resource-limited schools.
