Abstract
The study sought to investigate the relationship between school climate and teachers’ job performance in public senior secondary schools in Adamawa State. One research question and six hypotheses were raised to guide the study. A multistage sampling technique was employed to select 260 teachers from a population of 2589 teachers in the study area. Data for the study were collected using School Climate Assessment Battery and Teachers’ Job Performance (SCABTJP). Data were analyzed using means of school climates and the hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. Results of the study revealed that the major school climate prevalent in Adamawa State public senior secondary schools was controlled school climate. There was a significant correlation between controlled school climate and teachers’ job performance.
