Abstract

The problem of graduate unemployment and poverty in Nigeria is on the rise. The resultant effect is the rise in crime and youth restiveness. The situation has led to disenchantment, and the upsurge of insurgency and insecurity in the country. Yet a lot can be done to tackle the problem of poverty and graduate unemployment in Nigeria. Interdisciplinary synergy that cut across vocational and technical education fields, where experts are utilized to develop a sound programme, in order to develop a viable vocational-based SME sector, in line with the food chain model, is imperative to ameliorating the problem.
