Abstract


In Nigeria, the system of education inherited from the colonial administration has resulted in turning out graduates who are unable to contribute to its National Development. This study aim at creating awareness to Nigerians on the need to embrace fine and applied arts education for national development. The study uses secondary source of collecting data and make a contents analysis and it recommended that fine and applied arts education should be adopted, applied and integrated in individual(s) which is capable of strengthening academic and work place skills  that will facilitate self actualization, sustainability’s, employment, generation and employer of labour for National Development.
