Growth Of Indian Higher Education: An Analysis

Abstract

In this research paper an attempt has been made to highlight increased institutional capacity in terms of diverse levels of Universities and colleges in the country. India has one of the largest higher Education systems which saw a remarkable increase since independence. In terms of enrolment, India has the third largest higher education system in the world after China and USA.  It is expected that India will top the USA in next five years and China in next fifteen years to be the largest system of higher education in the world.
